Do you want to help protect Otago’s unique natural and cultural heritage on private land for the benefit of all New Zealanders?

Do you love Otago’s iconic landscapes and understand the threats facing it?  Are you resourceful, practical, resilient and able to build lasting partnerships across multiple sectors?

If so, an opportunity has arisen to be our next contractor responsible for delivering regional representative services to coastal Otago on behalf of Queen Elizabeth the Second National Trust (QEII). Our regional representatives enjoy the great outdoors and working with a diverse range of landowners.

You would be engaged as an independent contractor, with your total contract hours determined on an annual basis. You would work from your home/office within the region and supply your own suitable vehicle.

Your contract would initially consist of 1100 hours per year and will see you become the face of QEII for our regional stakeholders. This would require you to:

  • identify and negotiate legal protection covenants over new areas throughout coastal Otago
  • monitor existing covenants, and support landowners to meet their stewardship obligations
  • work with the wider community and other agencies to raise awareness and support for the work of QEII and its covenantors

You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to apply. Please send a cover letter addressing key competencies and outlining your skills and experience, together with your current CV to contracting@qeii.org.nz by 5pm Wednesday 8 July 2020.

A copy of the services and requirements can be found here.

If you have any other questions, please contact Gareth Eloff, Field Operations Manager at contracting@qeii.org.nz.
