QEII national trust
AI Statement and Principles

QEII National Trust uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance our productivity and support our conservation mission. We acknowledge that AI carries risks if not used responsibly. Our commitment is to use AI in ways that align with our organisational values, legal obligations, and the trust placed in us by our stakeholders.

Our Principles for
AI Use

  1. Human First
Our organisation relies on our strong relationships with landowners and stakeholders – so if you’re talking to us, you’ll always be dealing with a real person. AI is only used to improve the productivity of our people.
  2. Quality Assured
Where any AI-assisted content is used in our work, it’s been reviewed, edited, fact-checked, and approved by a human. That person is then entirely accountable for the content.
  3. Private and Secure
We only use approved AI tools that meet our security standards. QEII information isn’t submitted to any public AI models.
  4. Continuously Improving
We review our AI practices regularly and adapt to evolving technology and guidance.
  5. Considered Use
We encourage our people to consider the significant impact that AI has on the environment and weigh that against the expected efficiency and work outcomes before using an AI tool.
