Update: 30 March 2020

As an update to the post made on 18 March 2020, while New Zealand is in alert level 4 as a response to COVID-19, QEII National Trust head office staff are working from home and no visits to covenants by regional reps are being undertaken.

As the alert levels change, our leadership team will continue to evaluate the best ways of working for the health and safety of our members and staff.

If you have any questions relating to your covenant, please feel free to get in touch with us or with your regional rep.

Update: 18 March 2020

You will all be aware of the everchanging situation regarding the recent COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

At QEII, the health and safety of our team and wider QEII members is extremely important to us. Considering the uncertainty around the COVID-19 outbreak, for the safety of our members, our staff and the public, we’ve made the decision to postpone planned QEII events until further notice.

Our head office team, based in Wellington central, will continue to work as normal, however our leadership team are reviewing this every day. We’re also making sure that we stay up to date with any Ministry of Health recommended practises.

As standard practise, our regional reps get in contact with landowners or land managers before conducting a visit to any covenant and this will continue to be the case. If you have a visit with a rep scheduled, but need to cancel for any reason, please get in touch with your rep.

The QEII team are being vigilant about monitoring their own personal health and wellbeing and we’ve encouraged our team members to stay home if they’re feeling unwell.

More information about COVID-19 can be found on the Ministry of Health website here.
